"Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us"
-Daniel Keys, Flowers for Algernon-

ON:

Petty Officer Graal 'Pig Boy' Krit entered the office of the Chief Councillor not sure what to expect, or how to expect it. All he knew was that, all his life he was told his temper was going to get him into trouble. He was expecting more. He hated being forced into things. Things like seeing a councilor for his anger and fighting issues. But, he did have a choice. Unfortunately, the results of the end of the choice that would not have him see a councilor was loss then satisfactory. So, Krit came to the conclusion that being 'voluntold' was the best way to get him to do this. And about the only way it could be done. Pig Boy saw that there appeared to be nobody there. Could it be that he was free? Pig Boy cleared his throat to see IF he was truely alone.

Siobhan raised from behind her desk. She wasn't expecting anyone at this point. She barely managed to arrive into the office, she was just taking off her boots and was planning to relax, and to quickly catch up with current status of her department. Seeing the short Tellarite in the office, she smiled and waved invitingly to come closer. Slipping her feet back into her boots she stood up.
"Hi. I am Siobhan Richards, the new counselor. Honestly, I just arrived to this office for the first time and didn't expect anyone visit me that fast. Then here you come. It must be a busy office and yet no one is here to help." She began throwing in few complains for a good measure. "Please sit down. What can I do for you?"

"I was told you were expecting me? I can come back if this is not a good time." He said sounding ONLY to happy to leave.

Siobhan shook her head.
"Since you are here already, let's deal with it, it can be a short introductory meeting instead of a regular that will allow us to know each other." She said softening her voice. "Please, take seat wherever you want. And let's start with the obvious... what is your name? And then why would I expect you here?" She came from behind the desk and gracefully waved for him to pick place he wanted to sit, either in front of the desk, or on the opposite side of the office at the coffee table where there were armchairs and a sofa.

Pig Boy looked like a fish out of water. He looked at a seat. Then walked over to it. almost sat down. Then stood back up. He repeated this twice until he finally settled on a spot. "Well, ummmm. My name is Graal. And I son't REALLY need to be here. But, I was told to come see you." He said nervously.

"Nice to meet you Graal." Siobhan replied with a friendly smile and leaned against the desk, in semi-seating position. She patiently waited through Tellarit's fidgeting allowing him to get around his emotions at his own pace. "I can see that you don't really need to be here. So who told you to come and see me?" She asked and after brief pause added. "And why?"

"Well, nobody told me to come. I was kind of....lead here. And It's not really a problem. I can handle it." He said with semi confidence.

Siobhan didn't comment immediately, as if she was weighting what she heard.
"All right, let's start from the beginning then. What happened that ended up with you being led here. Well, kind of led here." She corrected herself.

"Not much, I was just talking to Cash. He's the Chief Engineer." Said Krit.

Siobhan realized this is going to be like pulling teeth. She kept her inviting smile.
"What where you talking about?" She asked seeing there was nothing to follow his initial description.

"Nothing much. Just this and that. You know, work stuff." He said looking down at his feet.

Siobhan patiently waited a moment before pressing on again.
"Just work? And what about Cash? Did he feel the same way?"

"I think so. I mean, It was at work. And we were talking about work related stuff." He said.

"Oh." Siobhan clasped and continued on cheerfully. "All is good then. I am sure everyone is happy then, no harm done, no one got upset. Right?"

Graal smiled. "Oh great, I'm glad you think so Doc. I'm sure that once Cash hears that there's nothing wrong. everything will be alright. And I can be considered for more of a supervisory role in Engineering. Thank you, you are the best." He said standing up and walking towards the door.

Siobhan grinned seeing back of Tellarite so eager to leave.
"Actually you said there was nothing wrong. If Lieutenant Cash ask me, I will say you were adamant 'just work related stuff' only was the basis for your visit. You saw nothing wrong had happened. Nothing was worth discussing. As you didn't divulge any details to me at all. So based on that, I can only agree with your assessment." She said softly, quietly, but audible enough to be well heard. "I imagine that our next session might involve Lieutenant Cash as well. That is if he will disagree and the mediation will be necessary to improve your 'just work related stuff'."

"Next session?" Asked Graal. "But you said there was nothing wrong" He said stopping dead in his tracks.

"Based on what you presented me... yes. Nothing wrong." She confirmed. "But then you presented me nothing. It's like with a device. If you won't use the tricorder to see what is wrong on the molecular level, you won't know if there is something wrong with it. People might complain about the noise or misalignment. So would you leave the device? And if it is faulty and someone gets hurt, what then?" Siobhan voice was calm. "I can't force you to talk Graal but talking, sincere and open is my tricorder. Do you want me to use it, or just leave it as is?"

Krit looked surprised. "But, you said there was nothing wrong." He said sounding confused.

Siobhan nodded.
"And you said you can handle it." She replied. She tried but Graal seemed not to be ready to talk yet.

"I can." Said Graal. "So, I guess there is no more need to see you?" He said.

"Only if you will feel like it. Or the time of your regular evaluation will come." She nodded.

"Graal looked at the person in front of him. He was confused. but he knew this just might come back to bite him in his Tellarite ass later. But, He would deal with it then. "Ok, So we are done?" He asked again.

"Yes." She confirmed.

Pig Boy smiled and quickly left before anyone could say a thing.
