Mission: S1E3: Visit to Starbase 375
Timeline: Day 2 at 0030

After returning from the party at Quevrik's, Alvar was notified by the night duty officer of a priority one transmission from Starfeet Command. He pulled up the message on his terminal and looked looked at the orders therein.

Reassignment, effective immediately.

There was an environmental crisis on Tarsus III, of a situation very similar to something Alvar had dealt with several years ago while on the Dakota. As such, Starfleet felt that he was the most qualified individual to overesee handling the Federation response to the Tarsus government's plea for help. Another starship, the U.S.S. Durango, would be arriving at DS20 within the hour to pick him up.

He packed, and, noting the time, decided not to bother the captain at that late an hour (and hated long goodbyes anyway), so typed out a message to him about the situation (even though, of course, he'd have a similar notification himself from Starfleet about the situation). Alvar acknowledged the time served together, and regretted that it had not been longer, and wished him and the rest of the crew much luck and success.
