I thought we had something

Mission:
S2E1: The Skunil Incident
Location: USS Fair Winds/USS Crazy Horse
Timeline: Day 38 at 1200
Siobhan smiled softly. Why it usually had to be this way. Thirty eight days on the transport was an interesting experience. USS Fair Winds was not the Crazy Horse and despite there was a lot Siobhan had to polish on, few friends to message to, brush up on the diplomacy in the region, it would be still quite a boring endeavor, if not for James of the Fair Winds’ crew. However, James seemed not to understand the concept of one night stand. Actually more like five nights stand. So they were talking now, well, he was talking. She let him.
And now it was time for ‘we had something’. Siobhan was seeing that coming a mile away.
“Listen, I thought we had something. Don’t just shut this off, please. We can talk to each other.” He finally gave up on stopping her. “Maybe we will try to see how it will go?”
Siobhan looked past him at the entrance to the transporter room. She had just her uniform tightly fit on her, with a small bag over her shoulder containing few essentials. Fortunately, she made sure the rest of her things was already transported onto the Crazy Horse.
“All right.” She said finally and using the moment that he relaxed hearing her agreeing, she moved past him. Looking over her shoulder, she added. “I’ll send you message as soon as I’ll settle on the Crazy Horse.”
By the time he reacted and could catch up with her, she was inside the transporter room where he had no access as only people transferring aboard USS Crazy Horse were allowed.

The blue energy materialized Siobhan on the transporter pad in the unfamiliar room. She guessed it must be the Crazy Horse, her destination. Unless someone screwed up. It would be fun if something would go wrong. However, as she looked around, there was a Chief Petty Officer behind the transporter console, in the golden Starfleet uniform. She was also not alone, as the pad was full of other transferees.
“Welcome aboard USS Crazy Horse, please continue moving.” The CPO greeted them and motioned to step off the transport platform.
Siobhan approached the transporter operator and cleared her throat to get his attention. “Can you ensure that all my stuff will reach my quarters?”
“It is already taken care off.” The men replied raising his head from looking down at the console. “Ma’am.” He added quickly. “Do you need help finding your way?”
“No thank you.” Siobhan shook her head slightly. She was the last one from this batch of new arrivals to leave the room and there was no one to greet her. Oh, well, what did she expect?
In long, soft strides, she left the transporter room and walked the corridor toward the turbolift. Before arriving on the ship, she studied the Luna-class to get herself familiar with the type. It was going to be her first ship-borne assignment and she was excited, if not ecstatic.
Siobhan walked without rush, her sultry walk with feminine grace was drawing attention, particularly from men, but Siobhan was used to that. She was absorbing the atmosphere, nodding to people who were greeting her because of the rank. All of them were unfamiliar faces for now.
As soon as she freshen up, she was going to visit the captain. A customary tradition and a good way to start the new assignment – see your boss.
