Personal History Born to William and Julianna Rooke in 2364, Renee was always surrounded by food. Her father ran a fairly successful San Fransisco restaurant, specializing in Telarite fusion dishes. Her mother, meanwhile, taught philosophy--including about food--at a local university. When Renee's younger brother came along five years later, Renee became extremely close with him.

At seventeen, Renee had a chance to travel to Andoria for a summer exchange program. She fell in love with the food, and also a rather attractive Andorian. Against her parents wishes, she enrolled in a culinary program on Andoria, finishing three years later. Unfortunately, her personal relationship didn't last, but she felt strongly enough about things to apply--and be granted--Andorian citizenship. Upon graduation from the culinary school, Renee took further study on Earth, and found a passion for fresh food.

Wanting to expand her knowledge further, she applied as a civilian chef for a posting to a Starfleet installation, and was accepted in 2389. She worked at Starbase 74 for a few years, before coming to the USS Crazy Horse.
