| General Overview | Being raised working in his parents restaurant, Noah is generally a calm person and it is difficult to get under his skin. He heard every beratement from his father, leading him to gravitate more to his younger sister. He harbors some landmines from his childhood. | Personal History | Noah was born on March 3, 2369 in Gatineau, Quebec. His parents ran a small restaurant near the Ottawa River in the District du Lac-Beauchamp. His parents, devout Catholics brought him and his sister, Zoe up in the parochial school system. Noah was fairly quiet in his younger years until he hit high school. Throughout his early life he spent nights and weekends working in the family restaurant, and therefore had little time for extracurricular activities. Other than playing It was during this time he resolved not to follow his family into the family business for better or worse. He aimed aspired instead to join Starfleet. His father was furious but eventually resigned himself to his son's decision. In 2387 Noah matriculated at Starfleet Academy with help from recommendations from various politicians his father was close to. He arrived at Starfleet Academy a definite underdog compared to many of his peers. He was intelligent and a good student but wasn't quite as well rounded. Always feeling the need to work, he got a job waiting tables at Les Amis, one of the bistros around San Francisco. The owner, Qualnar an Ferengi thought someone with a French accent would make the place seem more authentic. Les Amis, was a hang out for many senior officers stationed at Starfleet Headquarters. This was fortunate for Noah, as many gave him pointers on how to excel in the service. He took the pointers to heart and graduated with high marks at the academy. The one officer who stook out was Captain Zon, an operations instructor at the academy. Following Noah's graduation, Captain Zon offered Noah a position as assistant Chief Operations officer onboard his new ship, the Pioneer. Noah served aboard the Pioneer for almost two years as it conducted the first extensive survey in the Badlands. During the last leg of the survey, the Pioneer was struck with a massive energy discharge. The discharge fried the ship's warp drive. With no main power, Noah, the ship's engineer and Captain Zon rigged a solar sail which successfully moved the ship out of harm's way. The ship was towed to the nearest starbase by the U.S.S. Winston Churchill. |
