Physiology | Externally, El-Aurians are physically identical to humans in structure and even the range of racial phenotypes. A significant physical difference between Humans and El-Aurians was in the aging process, as the extremely long El-Aurian lifespan sometimes surpassed seven centuries. El-Aurians also have an awareness which supersedes the normal flow of time and space, allowing them to be extraordinarily sensitive to the space-time continuum itself. Recently, Mizi has entered his life and the two have become inseparable. | |

Personal History | Romal comes from the El-Aurians Homeworld in the El-Aurian system. In a major catastrophe, Homeworld was destroyed when the Borg attacked and started assimilating them. This resulted in a mass migration of its people in search of new planets to live on. The transport Romal was on, took him to Earth, where he made it his permanent home. In the following years, Romal studied many professions, mostly involving the sciences and engineering. Eventually, Romal became interested in Star Fleet and joined it, becoming a career officer. While serving on the USS Odyssey, Romal was on an away mission to rescue some diplomats on a planet nearly destroyed from a vicious attack by a particularly horrible local warlord. It was then that Romal encountered a young human female child in deep shock from the destruction of her home and family. Being a compassionate man, he pulled her out of the rubble and took her away from the tragedy. Offering her protection and providing her emotional support, the girl immediately formed a close bond with Romal. When medical personnel tried to take over, she showed signs of complete withdrawal. It appeared that only Romal was able to pull her out of shock. Romal became emotionally attached to the child as well, so much so, that he asked for a leave of absence and eventually adopted the child. Giving the child his surname, Seshel, he learned what becoming a father really meant. However, Romal was still a career officer in Star Fleet and decided to try both at the same time. A daunting task to be sure, but Romal thought he could do it. Which is why he chose to be on a ship of exploration, rather than a warship - it was safer for his daughter, Mizi. |
